Here's what we'll do:

Step 1: Select a domain name

The domain name - the web address - you want for your web site might not be available. For example, "cafemomo.com" or "secretgarden.com" are both already in use. However, "cafemomosonoma.com" and "secretgardenpetaluma" are both available. We'll guide you through finding a domain name that works for you.

Step 2: Register the domain name

Once you register your domain name, no one else may use it. The cost: $25 per year.

Step 3: Find a host

Your web site's files are uploaded to a computer that is always connected to the Internet. This is called the Host. There are numerous options for hosting a web site; if you already have Internet access, your service provider probably provides hosting. We recommend Sonic.net for most of our customers - they are fast, reliable, and responsive to technical problems.

Sonic's Value Hosting offers 10 megabytes of storage space for your files and 4 mailboxes (so you can receive email at "yourname@yourbusiness.com" . The cost: $9.95 per month.

Step 4: Design the site

Under your diretion, we will gather artwork and photos and select a layout and color scheme to suit your taste and business. We'll help you organize the material for each page, and then design and construct a Home page, a Contact page (including map) and two additional pages of your content. The cost: $499.
