Infographics

Information Graphics is where Illustration and Information Design meet. Infographics. Infographics always help explain a complex concept, often in ways that words alone cannot accomplish.

In publications, a good Infographic can be a blessing for the writers; they can put their attention to the meaning of the concept, instead oftrying to explain how it works.

One of the most important and widely-used forms of the infographic is Cartography. Maps use a complex, but easily understood, array of symbolism to represent the surface of the earth. Our Cartography selection is on its own page.

In 2007, the Liberty Science Center, in Jersey City, NJ, opened its new permanent exhibit "Skyscraper! Achievement and Impact." Newman Design was commissioned to do a series of diagrammatical pieces to become part of the display. Check them out HERE.
